Watch out for copy trolleys

Filed under: electric golf trolley reviews,Hillbilly,Powakaddy,Precision golf trolleys — electricgolftrolleyreviews @ 1:26 pm

We have noticed over the last year or so a few companies selling copy electric golf trolleys. Many are not branded and are complete copies of good branded electric golf trolley names. Watch out for copies of Hillbilly, Powakaddy, Stewart, Precision golf trolleys.

Although these dodgy companies are not naming the trolleys as these brands, (as this would then be fakes and liable to the full force of the law), they are copying but with inferior components and parts and of course service if any. We have had one website even stealing photographs which are copyrighted to Precision Golf Trolleys, we believe they are taking legal action at the moment.

Our view is stay away from these unscrupulous dodgy dealers, don’t think you are getting the same quality trolley because it looks the same. Just think of a Rolex watch, buying in a dodgy market for a few quid, do you really think this is the same quality product.

Just think there is always a reason these dodgy companies are undercutting the price of their copy electric golf trolleys ? – Will they be there for you in a year if anything was to go wrong. Our advice is always deal with a branded name electric golf trolley and a dedicated trolley supplier not a warehouse selling all products.

Reviews and build quality of electric golf trolleys

QUALITY GOLF TROLLEYS

Firstly, you only get what you pay for? – until the internet came along! Could it be that some retailers are getting quality components and build but saving costs due to having less overheads by using the internet and keeping the price low for consumers.

Where should I buy a golf trolley?

Our advice is always buy from a dedicated Internet trolley dealer. This way you will gain by getting a better price. Having spoke to Precision Golf Trolleys they say the normal RRP is between £279 and £319 and that these RRP and shop prices reflect the need for the premises and staff costs/overheads. They say being a dedicated golf trolley Internet retailer can reduce their overheads and therefore the end price to the customer. Electric Golf Trolley Network do have the expertise of golf trolleys and the workshop space for servicing, unlike all product supermarkets.

Are you a fan of remote control electric golf trolleys

We would like some comments or views on remote control trolleys;  Do you think they are a good thing? Are they too much trouble?  Are they more things to go wrong?  Can they be distracting to you or others in the middle of a golf game?

I personally tried one out and maybe because i wasn’t used to it i found it difficult to use.  I suppose the fact of trying in a competition for the first time may have been a mistake but i found I was using my concentration on the trolley most of the way round it not only exhausted my concentration but took my ‘eye’ of the game.  Little to say I didn’t score that day.

here is a remote control electric golf trolley in action.  See what you think?

gokart electric golf trolley review

This Gokart golf trolley is easy quick to set up and folds in half.  When folding just make sure you use the handle to pick up and open out the trolley, as we managed to jam our fingers in the slick folding mechanism, this could be a problem!

The trolley may not appeal to everyone as it is made of plastic that is body and chassis.  So not everyones cup of tea very much and all plastic.  It does come in a few flashy colours but far from looking the most expensive trolley, is will appeal to some.  It claims to be British made but nowadays when is any product all manufactured in UK or is it just assembled – who knows?

Simple to operate, there are two controls on the handle; an on/off and a speed knob.
